Welcome to the New Thirsty Brush Weekly Blog!

You asked for it and here it is....

We have such a thriving community of Thirsty Brush followers and ‘Brushettes’ growing every day.  It’s such an amazing feeling for me to see crafters like yourself, enjoying and sharing your love of card making. It brings the biggest smile to my face.

Now we have been going for well over a year, I get lots of questions about our earlier designs, as well as our new launches. I think, having a resource to come to, for inspiration and techniques, is really important for lots of you and helps to grow your own creativity. So this is what this blog will be all about. YOU.

Whether you’ve been with us from the beginning of our journey, or just joined the party, you will be able to access weekly projects using our full back catalogue and a range of techniques. I will guide you through how to create some of the design teams best makes. So you too can be creating the most stunning, fresh and unique cards and projects.

This week, we are still in a paper stack vibe! So, let’s keep this going with a cute and simple  layered card. If you follow us on Social Media, you will have spotted this make, on our new feature ‘Card of the Day’. COTD will be hosted by myself and design team members Kerry and Liane. It gives you daily, quick inspiration and is fabulous for pulling you out of a creative rut!

Today’s easy make features papers from the Botanical Dream and Salty Leaves paper stacks, a black card blank and some embellishments - that’s it!

The beautiful designs on the Thirsty Brush paper stacks are so unique and the details so big, it’s a crime to just use them to mat and layer all the time. I wanted to create a built up look, using some of the leaves and daisies from the Salty Leaves stack, and a classic design from the Botanical Dream stack as a backdrop. Here’s what to do:

My aim for this for blog, is for it to be as interactive as possible. So, if there is a technique you would like to see or a Thirsty Brush design you would like me to feature, then get in touch! I’d love to help.

So what’s coming up next? Look out for a really exciting couple of announcements on our Social Media this week! Trust me, this is big news.

See you this ‘Thirsty Thursday’ at 3pm on the Stamps by Me YouTube Channel for some super demos and something new.
