Modern Iridescent Personalised Gifting Ideas

Welcome back to our weekly Thirsty Brush Blog!

Firsty, Thank you so much to everyone for your patience as I had to take a break due to family illness while we were on holiday. My husband, Dean, is now back in the UK and doing much better. So, please accept my apologies for the lack of blog posts and youtube demos during this time.

On that note, I am pleased to say, our Thirsty Thursday Live show will return next Thursday (28th Nov) at 3pm from the Stamps by Me Studio. You can catch up on previous live shows from me and Toni here.

For the blog, I hope to inspire you with some fab Christmas makes on the run up to the festive season. So, if you are behind on your Christmas crafting, never fear! I'll be posting makes to jump start your creativity, whether you are looking for a good traditional card or something more modern.

For this weeks blog project, I wanted to create a co-ordinating card and gifting set for all the family. I'm totally in holographic card at the moment, so to incorporate an iridescent look into the project was a must. The co-ordinating set I made includes a clean and simple card, perfect from batch making, a gift card holder, a pillow box perfect for small gifts like jewellery and a hanging tree cone, ideal for sweet treats. Here’s what to do:

 Gift Card holder:

 Pillow Box:

Hanging advent cone:

My aim for this for blog, is for it to be as interactive as possible. So, if there is a technique you would like to see or a Thirsty Brush design you would like me to feature, then get in touch! I’d love to help.

So, what’s coming up next? Kerry and I will be at our stand at the Birmingham Motorcycle Museum 23rd November. Do pop and say Hi if you are there. And more workshop dates to be released very soon!
