Hello everyone and welcome back to the Thirsty Brush Blog!
There is a hint of Spring in air at last! Daffodils blooming and lighter evenings are upon us. Todays blog project features the insanely popular patterned vellums we released in February, along with one of our new cover dies - Waves.
I am going to show you a glitter technique today which allows you to turn your dies into a adhesive design for you to glitz up to your hearts content:
Die cut a piece of patterned vellum using the outer die that comes with the waves cover die
Die cut some double sided adhesive sheet using the waves die (make sure you leave the backing on both sides of the adhesive sheet)
Removed the backing from one side of the adhesive sheet and position the waves on your vellum.
Remove the other backing from the waves
Apply a fine iridescent glitter which will stick perfectly to your waves
Add the vellum to a card blank using clear double sided tape
Fussy cut some flowers from another piece of vellum and add to the corners of your card, again with clear tape
Die cut shine from rose gold card and twice again from peach card
Glue the sentiment die cuts together using wet glue, the rose gold should be on the top
Add the sentiment to your card
Admire your super shiny glittery card!
Stay tuned for more ways to use your patterned vellums next week.
I’ve had lots of lovely messages to say how much you loved the members gift stamp set! It fills me with joy to see everyone enjoying the butterfly design. I will have to get cracking on another members gift soon ;)
Hope you enjoyed this! If you have a go at this, feel free to share your beautiful makes with us on our facebook group.
See you then!
