Hi everyone, I hope you are all well. Did any of you manage to see Claire and Kerry over the weekend at the NEC? Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it, I run a kennels and cattery with my parents and we have a full house at the moment!
Right, so this week I wanted to share something a little bit different and have a go at a style that I don't usually attempt and literally use only one ink pad and neutral colours to see what I could come up with. I hope you like it.
You will need:
Thirsty Brush & Co Christmas ‘Merry Robin’ (Coming soon on Create & Craft bn TV)
5” x 7” card blank
Versafine ink pad in Black Onyx
Wooden star embellishments
Wet Glue that dries clear
Cream cardstock
Paintbrush
Patterned paper
Lace
Gold and cream bakers twine
Gold tissue paper
Distress tool
1. Stamp the robin and sentiment on a piece of cream card 5"x 5" in your favourite black ink pad, distress all the edges.
2. Trim a piece of patterned paper slightly larger than the first piece, distress all the edges. Mat the stamped robin on top. I used a thin paintbrush to create a curl at the bottom and glued it in place.
3. Tear some gold tissue paper big enough to cover most of the card, glue to the card blank.
4. Mat the stamped image to the front of the card and adhere the lace under the curled edge. Glue on the wooden embellishments to finish.
Thank you for stopping by and don't forget to check back for updates and sneak peeks of the very first Thirsty Brush Christmas collection.
Hugs, Liane x
