Winter Scene Watercolour Card with Claire

Hello everyone, happy Monday! Hope you all enjoyed some time outside, in the sunshine this weekend. I managed to do some crafting, gardening and catching up with friends. A perfect weekend all round!

I have another little Christmas teaser for you this week. I have been working on this watercolour winter scene card, using the upcoming, ‘Home for Christmas’ Stamp set. Thank you again, everyone, for your patience regarding the Christmas Release. What I can confirm now, is that the planned launch will now be in July, so stay tuned for the date and time on social media! So excited!

Christmas is an interesting time for me when card making. Because of the volume of cards we all send, it reminds me of each passing year. Sometimes I feel a little sad, if I haven’t spent as much time with the people I love, as I wanted during the year. A Christmas card (or any card for that matter) can be a fantastic way to reach out to someone. Especially, a handmade card, as us crafters know.

The weeks fly by so fast, and we all have busy lives these days. So, I have decided I want to make an extra special effort to send cards to the people I love, for no reason at all. Just because.

So, I have a little Thirsty Brush challenge for you, should you accept it. And you too can get in one the action. Make a card using any of your Thirsty Brush supplies, post it on our Facebook Group ‘Thirsty Brush Brushettes’ or any of the other social media, tagging Thirsty Brush. Send the card to someone special. Just because. If you like, you can tell us who the card is for and why, but don’t worry if it’s too personal. Maybe it’s someone you haven’t spoken too for a while, or someone who hasn’t been well. Whatever the reason - or no reason at all, use the opportunity to make a card and reach out.

I will be looking at all the cards, and will pick one out next week to feature on the blog. I’m sure I can find a little something for the winner too ;)

Back to Christmas before I go. Here are the main Thirsty Brush supplies I used to make this card:

I will do a little Youtube video on this watercolour technique before the big launch.

Thanks for reading and see you all soon!
